Highlights always add a little spice. Especially when you wear certain styles one toned hair can look a little dull.

I would do highlights. I actually had a lot of blonde highlights for a few months now and I just recently dyed my hair a dark brown with some red. Because it kind of washes out a little you can still see some highlights but now they look more red toned and I loveee it.
