Hi! I am new to makeup and am wondering what are the main difference between the two. Also am wondering if tinted moisturizer is strictly for summer and warm weather usage

Tinted moisturizer offers very little coverage and is perfect for summer/ warm weather. Foundation comes in various coverage levels and forms. They range from light to full coverage. Then you have a selection on whether you want a dewy/glow look,semi-matte to full matte. Foundation can come in a stick,liquid,powder to cream formulation (usually in a compact). For both tinted moisturizers and foundations its always best to pick a formula that is best for your skin type. You aren't going to want to use an oil based product if you have oily skin. Also color selection is very important as well....nothing worse than going out in natural light and discover the shade is completely off. Both products come at various price points as well.
