Questions for you makeup lovers!

I thought it would be fun to ask some questions about why you love makeup, how you got into it etc. So...

1. What age did you start wearing makeup?
2. How did you learn/get into makeup
3. Any embarrassing makeup moments?
4. Favourite high end and low end brand?
5. 3 products you cannot live without!

For me:
1. I started around 13, I wore more than I needed and I didn't really know what I was doing but then when I knew more I only wore a little bit
2. I always liked dressing up and had those cheap sets with lip glosses and nail varnishes etc. My mum is also into makeup kinda so I kind of got it from her! But mostly YouTube. I learnt everything from YouTube!
3. Luckily, as I watched loads of YouTube tutorials I kinda knew what I was doing and didn't do anything too horrible but once I cut off half my eyelashes with an eyelash curler! The rubber bit came off and I didn't realise til after :/ oops..it wasn't too bad though and took just over a month to grow back
4. This is hard...for high end I would have to say mac and low end wow either maybelline or revlon? I also love rimmel and loreal I'm sorry I can't choose!!
5. Lastly...concealer - collection lasting perfection. Mascara!- anything waterproof! Maybelline Rocket or max factor false lash effect...and lastly probably would say blush because I would say bb cream but then I would have to say powder too! Ok I've decided this is too hard...

1. At 17. I had no one to show me. I do graphic art so I was used to doing make up since I painted from scratch. So I wasn't clueless either.
2. Just doing eyeliner.
3. None that I know of.
4. Right now I'm loving Lorac. Low end would be wet n wild.
5. Make up wise... Mascara. Brow powder and lipstick.

3.I remember filling in my eyebrow too much but I quickly realized and stopped

Low end-maybelline and revlon oh and nyx
5. Powder cause my face is very oily I use the loreal shine control powder.Mascara the one by one mascara by maybelline in waterproof and concealer would be the Mac Pro long wear concealer

1. I started around 13-14.
2. Well, I'm very into art and know a lot about color theory and brushes and blending and stuff. I know how to draw or paint looks, and makeup isn't much differnt.
3. I was really tired once and did my makeup in the dark so I didnt want to wake up my sister. I had a bottle of oil paint that look very similar to foundation bottles if you don't pay attention. Needless to say, I moved my bottles somewhere else after that.
4. High end- probably clinique. Low end - either physicians formular or revlon.
5. Mascara, face powder and lipstick

3. fifth grade...I stole my moms makeup and took some weird palates she wouldn't notice... orange isn't my color...
4. love make up forever professionals and hard candy
5. minty lipgloss (Bigelow or Victoria secret) eyeshadow...I can make my eyes pop or I can find almost any lip shade that way if I need a last minute green lip (poison ivy look from homecoming) its there and probably lotion lol it removes makeup in a pinch and if a new product gives you redness it will help lower the amount of redness

What age did you start wearing makeup?

probably about 9 just like lipgloss and properly foundation,eye shadows ect I think about 12

2. How did you learn/get into makeup

my mum has never worn make up so I would put it down to my nan ( I would always raid her make up bag as a child) and also youtube taught me A LOT

3. Any embarrassing makeup moments?
when I first started I had no clue about choosing foundation shades or under tones I would just get whichever one was the cheapest,if a dark colour was on sale I would buy it even thought I was super pale!)

And recently I had a hilarious make-up disaster whilst I was shopping on Oxford Street,I had done a sixties style super thick eye liner as my make up for the day which ( in my opinion) looked great... that was until the blizzard started! it was snowing super heavily and it just so happened that the direction it was blowing was straight into my face.

I made it out of the blizzard and into a Superdrug when I caught sight of myself in a mirror I couldn't stop laughing! the sixties liner had imprinted its self just below my brow bone.it looked like I had drawn black eyebrows on about a cm below my actual eyebrows,horrific!

4. Favourite high end and low end brand?
Illamasqua is my favourite High end brand, I just think the products are fantastic quality. and Maybelline or rimmel are my favourite lower end brands

5. 3 products you cannot live without!
I'm not sure if this is the products themselves or the category so I will do both :)

1- Brow Pencil/Powder = The 17 eyebrow kit
2- Lipbalm = Carmex
3- Bronzer = Sleek contour kit in medium

1. I actually started using makeup when I was 10, but it was like hello kitty lipgloss, I started with real makeup around 13/14
2. I've always loved it but my mom and friends started teaching me stuff
3. yess, when I was in 8th grade it was trending this weird thing of using cream highlighter in all your eye, like a panda
4. high end, my D'nature eyeshadow pallette and low end my ecotools brushes
5. nivea lip balm and face moisturizer, and my face gel cleanser

I started getting into makeup at 13. I got into it because my friends were so we all kind of did it together. Then I started learning by watching makeup gurus on YouTube. Embarrassing makeup moments I've had was I thought green eyeshadow looked really good and wore it everyday lol and also I didn't know how to match foundation so I wore this really bright orange (so embarrassing) My favorite high end is chanel and low end is rimmel. 3 products I can't live without are bronzer, foundation, and mascara.

Hmm probably 12?
I saw my mom and I have always loved fashion I guess!!
Definitely, I started out wearing blue and green eyeshadows with red lip gloss all the time! Lol it was terrible! Also I wore such cakey foundation and concealer on my acne :PP
My fave high end is prob benefit and low end prob nyx or covergirl
Definitely my tarte concealer, Rimmel stay matte, and porefessional :)) also clear mascara!

1) When I was 12 I started using eyeliner,mascara and lipstain!

2) My mom is a makeup nut herself so when I was young she used to do my makeup (just eyeliner,lippie and hair) and so I was interested in makeup as I grew up! :)

3) Embarrassing? nop

4) High end-Mac or Clinique
Low end-Maybelline or Revlon

5) I can't live without my Mac concealer,LA Spalsh mineral foundation,and Maybelline Colossal Volume Express mascara!

1. I think around 12? don't really remember..
2. The fact that makeup makes me more confident and I love 'playing' with makeup. Learned from mostly youtube and my Lauren Conrad Beauty book.
3. Not really makeup, more the fact that I ruined my brows one year ago, plucked them waaay too far it looked so stupid. Glad they have grown back normal
4. High end: mac, love their lipsticks and blushes. Low end has to go to Maybelline, their mascara's are great.
5. A good mascara, my mac blush in 'Well Dressed' and a good powder

1. I started wearing it when I was 14.
2. I surfed on the internet and found some tutorials which I like.
3. Sometimes I have that moments if I put foundation quicky or put wrong color. Then it looks cakey and orange.
5. foundation ( any just needs to be right color and not look too fake), moisturizer and norevas exfoliac. :-)

I started wearing makeup around 12 as an art, but started wearing makeup more often around 13, never really started wearing makeup dailyish til I was 14. I wore black eyeliner, usually in an Avril Lavigne style because thats just what I liked. I got into makeup because I saw pretty rainbow makeup then started practicing on my own. My most embarrassing makeup moment would be I used to hate wearing mascara, and girls tried putting mascara on me once and got it all over my face because I wouldnt stay still. I don't use high end, but low end would probably be E.l.f or maybelline. My top three products would be my black eyeliner, rocket mascara, and elf bronzer (:

1. What age did you start wearing makeup?
I started wearing makeup at 12. All of my friends at school were wearing eyeliner and I really wanted to. I was scared my mom would say no, so one day I took hers and put it on when I got to school. I didn't wash it off well enough that night, and she totally caught me. Needless to say the next day she bought me my first eyeliner and I've never looked back.
2. How did you learn/get into makeup?
I'd say I really learned and got into makeup through Youtube. I think the first guru I ever watched was Dulce Candy.
3. Any embarrassing makeup moments?
I bought this really crappy lash glue once, and everytime I wore lashes they would start to fall off at the corners. I remember I had a crush on my coworker, and one day my lashes started falling off at work. I had no idea he was watching me, so I just took them off. The look on his face was priceless, and I was mortified.
4. Favourite high end and low end brand?
High end: MAC for sure. My mom introduced me to MAC foundation because I have really bad acne scarring. We're virtually the same skin tone, and she'd give me her bottles of Studio Fix when she was almost done with them. I'd turn them upside down so all the product would go to the bottom. I usually had enough to last about 2 or 3 weeks. I swear my face lit up like a Christmas tree the day she said she'd buy me my own bottle.
Favorite low end is BH Cosmetics. I hate that you have to order them online. I have their brushes and their foundation is insanely good.
