Well I can barely tell that the first photo you posted is ombre. so if you're wanting to do that, I say do it. ombre is still everywhere, so I don't think it'd be out of style go get it.

I like it, go for it if YOU like it. A lot of people had their own version of "ombre" but yours is a true subtle ombre and it's very well blended. I think it would add a lot of dimension :)
