This was the hardest concept for me to understand in beauty school. When I started I had very dark hair - kind of an ash brown. My eyes are dark as well with more of an ash tint as well. And my skin is olive with more of a cool undertone. Therefore I am cool skin toned. The main thing you need to look for is if they are ash (pale) or golden. Because for instance, red can be both cool and warm. A deep golden red is warm and an ash red is cool. It's really a confusing question. Its only possible to really determine in person.

Gold watch looks great, and if gild looks better than silver you have warm undertones, if silver looks better, you have cool undertones.
