I am going to be getting a cartilage piercing in the Summer but I don't know much about them... I know that they take a while to heal but how long is 'a while?'. Also, what does it feel like?? I have already had 2 piercings on each lobe :) xx

I've had my industrial for a couple of years now. The healing process is different for everyone; some people had theirs fully healed within 6 months and I've known others who have had to wait up to 3 years for theirs to fully heal. It depends on how your body responds to the piercing along with how well you care for it. For me, the pain was a 3 or 4 out of 10, but I also have a VERY high pain tolerance. I will say the worst part isn't actually getting the piercing, it's the days following. If you bump it or
get it caught in something it feels very hot and tender. I would suggest getting one of those neck pillows if you sleep on your sides so you don't press up against your piercing. If you follow your piercers instructions for aftercare you should be fine.

Oh and for me it felt like a quick (much sharper) pinch.

Thank you!! I have broken my thumb before and I have a low pain tolerance so hopefully a cartilage piercing won't be so bad xx

Mine didn't hurt much. Just a hard pinch that lasted a second

You have to keep the piercing in for 8 to 12 weeks then you can change it out but you have to keep some kind of earring in for 8 to 12 months. Honestly it didn't hurt very bad but it was really sore for about a week:)
