Orajel has a cold sore pen thing that you can put on it.. You can find it at any drugstore.

I don't know about Vaseline, you want to dry cold sore out, and I'd think Vaseline would do the opposite,I swear by Cabrera,but it's usually not and overnight fix.try not to lick you lips or wash your face too much because this adds moisture and dose not help.

Blue light therapy works. A cheap one is the Tanda Blue you can get off of Amazon. My son and daughter sometimes get cold sores and I promise these make them go away super quickly. Which is great bc they both get really horrible looking ones. :(
