So I colored my hair using ion color brilliance in a 6A. I used a 30 with it. Before that, I had done a strip kit and was left with a brassy blonde. I thought doing this strip would even out my hair so I wouldn't end up with hot roots... But I gt them! The lengths and ends of my hair are an ashy brown, while my roots are basically the exact same color before I put the 6A on...
How can I fix this?! Help me please. And please don't recommend a salon, I really can't afford it :(
I was thinking of trying the Argan brand in the 6 instead of ion. Perhaps it will work better?
Thanks in advance!

I sugest to use a demi permanent color to put over the roots, with using a higher developer like 30 volume you are lifting and exposing more warmth than necessary. a demi permanent color doesn't lift so it won't expose any warmth that hair naturally has. your roots get hot roots because that hair is fresh and hasn't keratinized yet. so see if ion has a demi permanent color is 6 ash with the demi permanent developer and focus the color on your roots!

Thank you Hailey and Megan!
Megan--won't the demi eventually fade out though? Leaving the hot roots behind?
