You're so beautiful! The first step to confidence is to feel confident in your own body, free of makeup. It won't happen over night. I can also feel very vulnerable when I don't wear makeup but you should only wear makeup to enhance your natural beauty and to express your creativity. The hard truth is people will always criticize you no matter what, whether you wear makeup or not. Do what makes you happy. What kind of makeup do you wear to school?

I usually wear mascara, concealer and sometimes a bit of eyeliner. Other girls in my grade eight class don't really wear makeup. @Shauna S.

That's great Alia! Definitely do that girl! I actually clicked this post without even reading the title or the description and saw your face without makeup. I honestly thought you had foundation, concealer and all that stuff on, but then I saw that it was without makeup! You are crazy gorgeous Alia! Embrace it! @Alia That's not even worth worrying about! If you have natural beauty I think you should embrace it.. people will ALWAYS TALK POOP! Whether you want to include them in your life or not is up to you.
I volunteer with my local police department as an explorer, and I go on ride along 3-4 days a week. You can only imagine what people say to me!! I've been doing it since I was 16 and criminals can't tell the difference between a cop and an explorer, or realize that I was just a kid! And then going to school and having people recognize me and telling me they won't be my friend anymore because I want to be a cop!
I said thats great - buh bye! Don't get pissed when I write your arrest form and slap em cuffs on you!
People will ALWAYS talk love! Don't let it get to you! If a year from now on that same date you're not going to be like...' At exactly 5pm today xyz said abc about me!' so don't even sweat it... remember people who talk down to you don't end up being looked up to and are usually below you. ☺
And start focusing on the positives... negative only brings stress which brings a bunch of bad things with it.
