Uggs aren't meant for snow and weren't made to keep you warm. Uggs were made in Australia for surfers to slip into.

@FrancesMarie It's cool. Didn't mean to put anyone down.
@Kassi See, exactly what I meant.

Honestly I think it really depends on where you live and how the weather is, because that will determine how much use you'll get out of them. I own one pair. & let me tell you, here in New York I live in them! They are a total lifesaver. I'm not crazy about how they look and I wouldn't call them the most "fashionable" lol but definitely do make me happy on those bitter cold days when all you want is to be comfy and warm! However, the cheaper ones from Payless or wherever else all the ladies recommended might do the job as well if you want to save some money. Hope that helped!

Oh also, I've worn mine in rain and snow...they aren't meant for a wet environment but they still dried up and didn't damage. 👍

On another note, I have found that even using animal-free boots, they still get water damaged... So, buy whatever boots you want and protect them... I personally have bought boots from Payless that have looked almost exactly like uggs and loved them...

Like kelly said. You can get a wool boots instead of the whole skin.

I don't think they're worth the money. there's way cuter boots at Charlotte Russe, DSW, etc. If you're worried about your feet being warm, wear thick socks. That's what they were made for! The price of Uggs is crazy. You're just buying the label. They're really not that cute either. They're really overrated. That's my opinion on it.

Lili, thick socks aren't the same as sheepskin. If you have cold feet, it doesn't compare.
It really depends on where you live. I used to live in Chicago and honestly it snowed too much there, so they constantly salt and it's too damaging to the boots. Here in Maryland it's *usually pretty dry all winter and rarely snows so you can wear uggs quite often and not worry about ruining them. Are they the cutest? They're ok. They are nice quality though and so soft, warm and comfortable.

I'm pretty sure most uggs are meant to be house shoes...

NO! I wouldn't buy Bearpaw either! Both brands are completely just... Not worth it. Plus uggs are extremely cruel to animals which hits me hard. I have a pair of knockoffs that came from Aeropostale. They've lasted just as long as some of my friends uugs and I wear them literally everyday in the winter for like the last 4years. Yea they don't look as nice as uggs do as they get older but if you treat them right they can last a really long time!

Omg the animal cruelty comments should just stop not everyone cares...jeez!!

Uggs are way too expensive. Bear Paw is so much better. It's like 70-90 instead of Uggs for 150-350.

I have both Bearpaw and Uggs. They both keep your feet warm so yes, they're worth it...BTW, I would get a different style of Uggs and not just the boots. :)

It seems like they're kind of going out of style but they're really warm and super comfy, I've had mine. For two years and they're still in decent condition and they'll probably last for another two, you just have to take care of them.

Actually they do kill the sheep, it takes four to make one boot...do some research.

I don't want to cause trouble but I really like uggs and not just because everyone has them. they're really cute to me and I hear that they last a long time and if that's true then I don't mind paying more for them. and this may sound cruel but the whole" sheepskin" "bunny" thing doesn't really bother me I'm not an animal rights activist or vegetarian or anything like that.

Yup katherine it's skin sheep not lamb. And it's not just the wool, it's a piece of skin sheep. That's why they smell and get ruined if get wet. What do you think is the outside of the boot? That's the skin.

Shaundi if you like them you get them. Don't care everyones opinions. But like it's a public question, everyone is giving their opinions about the product.

They're good quality and can last for years if you look after them. They also help keep you warm. I reckon the right ones are worth the money :)

Omg Brittany where did you hear that?

There are different styles of Uggs. If you think too many people wear them, don't get the boots.
