You should go to a salon to get it done. Lightning dark hair can go very wrong if you don't know what you're doing.

Go to a salon for sure. Lightening is nothing to be played with. You'll have a least a little damage at the salon just because that's something that comes with bleach, but doing it at home is much more dangerous. Boxed dyes and bleaches are horrible for your hair. If you leave the bleach on for too long you run the risk of breakage and extreme damage. Your hair can always grow back, but why risk it? & returning your hair to a healthy state after a lot bleaching is quite a process. @Anna prices vary depending on the salon you go to. You could call a few places near you and ask what they charge for bleaching.
