I have heard two different names, beauty balm and blemish balm. I do believe it is beauty balm. its similar to a tinted moisturizer. it has a lot of nutrients in it, as opposed to most foundation and has light to medium coverage. I personally am not a fan. I have tried lancomes and estee lauders and they did not go on well. they were blotchy, and did not cover. good luck and hope I was helpful!

It depends on the company. Most Asian companies seem to call it Blemish Balm; western ones call it Beauty Balm.
Beautylish recently posted an article about BB creams. You may want to check it out. :)
@Hailley: To my understanding most of the western BB creams suck.

I'm allergic to a lot of cosmetic stuff too Nicky W. and I've been surprised by how many Asian BB Creams haven't given me any kind of reaction. I like the Missha Cho Bo Yang and Perfect Cover - they seem to be the ones that DO the most, you know? None of them will really cover like a foundation does though, I just wear them when I want to look a little bit less like I haven't slept properly :) They are pretty spectacular under a good foundation though.
