You should be fine! The only reason some ladies only dye their hair when it's a "dirty" is because they have sensitive scalps and the extra oils can help to reduce any kind of scalp reaction they might have to the dye. (Like itching or mild burning) But that's only if you have a really sensitive scalp :)

Yes! some boxes of hair dye even tell you to do it on clean hair.

I always wash my hair before I dye it. even when I go into the salon to get it coloured they wash my hair before hand.

I like using a clarifying shampoo before so there is no product on my hair before, that way the color takes better
