I've been trying so hard to grow my hair. the longest strand is no longer than 4 inches. I chemically relaxed it but I don't plan on doing that ever again. I flat iron it once a week and shampoo/condition twice a week.

Yeah, but how long did it take to grow?

My mom has to go to the salon every two weeks or its too long for her.

I chemically straightened my hair too and I've been trying to grow it for the past 3 years! I always stayed on top of my hair appointments and got it trimmed but that didn't seem to help, so I decided to take a break from trims for a while and find some deep conditioners to work with and it really helped. My hair is growing and I have less split ends because I'm using the deep conditioners but more importantly I'm staying away from the flat iron!

Don't brush wet hair!! It will tear hair out!

You really need to cut down on flat ironing. You should do it once a month, and then start getting professional trims. But it's good that you don't shampoo and condition ever day. Start deep conditioning and start putting some coconut oil before you wash your hair.

To be honest you really need to cut off all the dry split ends! That is probably the thing that is stopping your hair from growing! Once youve cut the bad ends off you should start to see a difference!
