I personally love the look of straightened hair with a mini braid, especially fishtail ;)

You could always plait it while its wet and take it down dry, you can also you rollers. I like to flip my hair upside down, get some mousse in my hands push the ends of the hair up the scalp repeatedly to get some messy loose waves, flip my head back and hairspray :)
