@Ana- practise makes perfect...I put my own dedigns on a piece of paper which is now a book...iland then I practise henna on my momma's hand...coz she doesn't mind if it turns out bad or worse...but it made me draw good.. if you want to make beautiful just practise on a piece of papar...first bring your own designs and creativity and draw it on a piece of paper and then you can get it on your hands:)

What is henna and how did it turn red in @Divya K.'s picture?

@Sally H. Henna (or mhendi as it's called in India sometimes) is basically a paste made from the leaves of a plant. You apply it to the skin and leave it for about 2 hours. When you scrape it away, it leaves a reddish orange color that darkens into a brown. The design lasts for about a week and a half.
