I got into it when I was like 9 lol nothing major at first...but by watching my beautiful mother...I got inspired...and learned by watching...she didn't know I was playing in her makeup..lol..till about 13 she bought my own and I loved it every since.

Well at first I had ma older sister doing ma make up and hair for me so I really didn't get in to me I just know I had make up on ma hair was done so was gud to go lolz Bt then she moved 5 states away and I had to learn on ma own I picked it up and was passionate about it ever since.. :)

My friend did my eye make up once and I realized it looked really nice. As for nail art, my sister asked me to paint her other hand and told me I was a natural. Now I paint my nails twice a week and plan on going into cosmetology:)

I was 12 and really depressed because I was "the ugliest girl in school", according to my peers. I was moving to another middle school and wanted a fresh start. My aunt was a Mary Kay consultant and had boxes and boxes of Mary Kay make up. I asked her to put make up on me for fun, and completely fell in love. Then she convinced my mom to let me wear make up from then on. She taught me the basics of make up and gave me a bunch of products and brushes from her own kit. It changed my whole life. And to this day, it's my greatest passion.

Aww I like your story Jazzmyn :) I can relate to you...in middle school I felt ugly to and then in 8th grade I asked my mom if I could wear mascara to boost up my confidence and after that I started watching youtube videos and fell in love with makeup!

That's a great question. I'm not really sure. I remember going to Sephora with my mom (who is so flawless and radiant and only needs some mascara and liner, I'm jealous) and just being astounded. She bought me the Rosebud Salve and I loved going with her. Eventually, I got really interested in makeup and when I was about 12 or 13 I bought my first eyeshadow palette and primer by too faced and my first mascara from benefit. Since then, I've just always loved makeup haha.
Soon after was my first time at a MAC counter and I got my first blush in Peachykeen.

Couldn't have said it better myself, Katie! I love doing makeup for more than just feeling glamorous but because it's art but on my face haha. And when I do other peoples makeup, I can see it really makes them feel great, and that's one of the best feelings for me, making someone feel awesome :)

When my mom thought I was old enough to wear makeup she took me to a makeup artist and had them teach me how to apply it and what shades look good with my skin and everything and I just felt so much prettier and glamorous.
