I've heard from a lot of people and websites that say mane n' tail is really good for your hair. That it helps it grow, makes it stronger, healthier, and shinier. Does it really help?

There are people who swear by it and argue that it works, but no, it's not something healthy to put on your hair.

I liked it when I used to use it but lately I've been seeing where they said its bad for your hair.

It is for horses and they don't get washed a lot.
For people the stuff is really hard on the hair. It strips the hair of dirt and oils it doesn't need but it also strips the hair of the oils it does need and more. So after a time a lot of hair will start to fall out when using it. So no. It does not help your hair.

It's really bad for your hair. Kitty K has a whole legit explaination as to why it's so bad if you want to ask her :)

Yup ita bad for your hair. its not ph balanced for human hair and sooner or later your hair will begin to get dry and brittle and break off.you may think its growing but its just the wax weighing it down. its really the worst thing for your hair.

My best friend has 3 horses so she washes her hair with it. Whenever I stay over and take a shower, I use it. I like the conditioner a lot. The shampoo is a little too harsh. If you want to try it out, only buy the conditioner. It has a light, sweet scent and I love it.

It's not necessarily "bad" for your hair. It just has a lot of proteins in it.

I liked it at first but after a while I couldnt go a day without washing my hair because the shampoo gave me nasty buildup. The conditioner didnt work very well for me either so I switched off it. But I've heard it works for some people.

The only thing that decides the speed of hair growth is genetics and the health of your hair. On average hair grows about 6 inches a year. Your hair will grow but it won't get any longer if you have spilt ends because they'll continue to rip upwards. I recommend if you do have spilt ends to get a nice cut sometime soon and after just make sure you use a hair mask once a week, use lots of conditioner, heat protectant and leave in conditioner. I've never known anyone that used it, but it's not for human hair so I'm assuming it's not going to be great. Horse hair is a lot stronger and rougher than human hair. Just buy a shampoo and conditioner thats for your hair type, or even just for humans.. :)

I've used it and it never made my hair dry or fall out whatsoever.

It made my hair thicker smoother softer and felt way much better after I bleached my hair.
