Hey everyone, so I tried to make sure there wasn't a question like this out there already, but wasn't able to find one, if so I apologize :)
I was wondering if any of you girls do your own acrylic nails instead of having them done professionally
if so I was wondering what kits you used, some good tutorials or just some general advice or tips.
I've seen some amazing 3D art lately, and have been wanting to try it out. I love doing my own nail art, and would want to give that up just to have acrylics done.
thank you.

I'm a qualified nail tech and want to inform you about buying products on eBay. If you go for the cheaper option please be warned as the glue will get in the kit is not safe. For example I used one when I first started my course and accidentally dropped some on my bedroom carpet. The glue burnt though my carpet.
I would buy from naio nails. She also has her own YouTube tutorial page x

I do my own gels! I've been doing them for a while now and I'm getting pretty good at it. Acrylics seem hard lol.

I've been doing my own acrylics since last summer, so far I have improved quick than I thought I would. Absolute Nails on YouTube has an awesome channel.

Thank you again everyone for your responses. I hadn't thought of gel nails, is that like acrylic, in the sense it can add length/strength...or is it just a thicker top coat. I've seen kits, but it seems to be only mentioning polishes or strips. can you also built 3D images with the gel.
you girls are so well informed thank you...
what is the major differences between gel and acrylic?pros?cons? of each from anyone with first hand knowledge or any of the you nail artists out there.
thank you again
btw: awesome app :) I found this by accident and am happy, everyone seems very nice and thoughtful, its refreshing seeing as how much of the internet is kinda negative sometimes:)
