ELF! I love most of their products! the primer/liquid eyeliner stick is awesome! (I actually prefer this to high end primers!). The black liquid liner is also a favorite. Rimmel eyeliner pencil is my favorite drugstore kind, and cheap!

I would get a maybelline mascara or cover girl (which one tickles your fancy) because you need a good mascara everything else you could get elf.

ELF is very hit and miss to me. If I were you I would go for wet n' wild for shadows and cream liner, Rimmel for pencil liner and blush, loreal voluminous for mascara, lips are a toss up cause most brands make decent lip products:-)

ELF and their christmas collection is out fully worth it. Just be sure to get the professional (black) ones not the white ones. Especially eyeshadow the white line ( white boxing) is not very pigmented but the professional is amazing!

I bought the elf eyeliner and I did not like it. I've read reviews (unfortunately not before buying but it was only a buck so no biggie) saying it works for the top and winged eyes but not the bottom lash line at all, and that's what I experienced. If I need a drugstore eyeliner I go with cover girl, the pencil one. It has a smudging side on one end, so you know which one to look for:)
For eye shadow, the wet&wild shadows can be pigmented decently making them show up well.
Mascara is a tricky one bc there are soooo many out there. It was recommended I try l'oreal voluminous mascara so I did.. The brush is far from the best but the look you get is great! Makes my lashes look very long. There are sooo many to choose from when it comes to mascara and I find I often don't like drugstore versions.
There are some things I will always splurge on, and that includes mac eyeliner and any foundation/facial products.
