I need to know what could be the cause of a severe pain in an area where a blackhead was extracted by using pressure and after doing the proper cleansing, exfoliation, and after the extraction applied a face mask. Thanks a lot for your help!!

I'm pretty sure that you're supposed to do a face mask before you extract, not after, because the extraction opens the pores for more bacteria. I could be wrong, but it sounds like the mask is what caused it. Is it painful on its own, or just if touched?

On it's own. The mask was desinfectant and is supposed to dry any oilyness to prevent it from happening and clear the skin. I was following a professional treatment for acne, and my model has pain but only in this one particular spot. No clue of what could it be.

You probably irritated it by exfoliating and the mask. Try putting Neosporin and a bandaid on it.

I don't think it's possible, it wasn't a scrub, and I followed it with soothing and desinfecting toners before and after the extraction was made. It's in the forehead, nowhere near a sensitive area, so that beats me.

Yeah, I'm with Lynzie. It's probably because of the mask. Even if it's a disinfectant, it's not really good to put anything besides a spot treatment or an antibacterial like neosporin.

Take some Advil as directed. It's an inflammatory so it will help with pain, redness & swelling.
