There are lots of things on the market aimed at stretch marks. But they are selling false hope I'm afraid. Stretch marks go deep into the lower layers of skin - they are scars & as such you cannot get rid of them with topical substances.
I'm sorry to be the voice of doom! I had two babies 22 months apart & my belly is destroyed (stretch marks 1/2cm apart over a dinner-plate sized area :( ).
The only thing I did find was Calendula oil took some of the redness away, although they fade to silver on their own over time.
There is a theory that a regime of exfoliation & moisturisation can help, but I've never stuck with it long enough to test!
Hope you're enjoying the little one; it can all be a bit crazy for a while!

I know nothing about stretch marks personally, but in my browsing I've seen that Clairins has a stretch mark lotion. It seemed to have good reviews. Just another product you could check out, its always good to have some options :) I've heard lots of good things about bio oil as well though

Use cocoa butter. My mom has had 3 kids and she used cocoa bitter and never got the first stretch mark. She rubbed it on her stomach when she got out of the shower while she was still wet and just barely patted her belly dry and let it soak into her skin. Like I said, obviously it worked because she didn't get the first stretch mark! She also used vitamin E oil.
