Hey beauties :) I'm turning 18 soon and I plan to get my first tattoo! I want my tattoo to say "beauty lies within the heart" in pretty cursive writing I just don't know where I want the tattoo placed yet sooo...suggestions would be great tell me where you think I should get it and if you have a tattoo there tell me how much it hurt in that spot :)

My tattoo, also a script, is at the top of my back between my shoulder blades. I got it there because it's easily covered if need be, but also easily revealed. I personally didn't think it hurt at all. It wasn't painful but it was a kind of unpleasant buzz. Sort of like someone was vibrating something on my back, I wanted to adjust and change where it was, but not painful. Does that make sense? Most tattoo artists/people with tattoos say that they hurt more going over bone. If that's true then maybe I have a high pain tolerance because mine went straight over my spine.

I would suggest to get it on your rib cage. I don't have one there but I think that's kinda cute. I have about 7 and they all hurt to some extent.. it all depends on your pain threshold. mine is pretty high.
I got my first at 18 too.

No don't do ribs those are the worst and anywhere on the foot is incredibly painful and around the ankle. No matter where it will hurt but my suggestion is back its not as bad. Arms but I'm not sure if you want something visible.

Everyone's pain tolerance level is different. I found the most painful places were the inside of the elbow, close to the armpit and the side of my ribs. All of the other tattoos I have; were a cake walk. if you stack the words in a scroll, you could put it anywhere. if you keep it as a sentence, you are a little more limited. Shoulders and upper arm are good spots as for less pain.

Also in my opinion it's best to get it somewhere that you can hide under your clothes. Not all employers like employees to have tattoos. Just a thought 😊

If I post a picture of mine, some people won't understand it and might think I'm a devil worshipper lol but both of my back ones have something to do with the band Him.. I don't regret it either

I have several tattoos. some places do hurt more than others. but it really depends on your pain tolerance. for me, the little one on my ankle that took only ten minutes hurt worse than the other dour I have combined. but that's because it's right on the bone. I want to get one that's just writing and I'm considering getting it done on my dollar bone or the top of my shoulder. I think the wrist would be pretty too ( just not for me because I have carpal tunnel and that would hurt like an S.O.B lol).

I always like seeing others' tattoos and what they mean. All my tattoos have some sort of meaning to me.

Heather the wrist would be cute but I think its kind of hard to hide.

Yeah. that's half the reason I don't get one there...because of work.
