Honey/Lemon hair lightener.

Has anyone used a honey and lemon juice mixture to lighten their hair? How were the results & how long did it take to see results? Thanks :)

I already have blonde hair and I tried the lemon thing to lighten it more and that didn't work personally. When I was a lifeguard we would dunk our heads in the chlorine water and sit in the sun and that would make it lighter, orrrrrr just dye it :$
