I actually started my blog last night. I have very fair skin and was searching online for beauty tips. All of the articles on beauty tips for fair skin that I found were not helpful and some of them were giving wrong information so I decided to start my own blog on the subjects. You can check it out if your interested at http://translucentbeautyqueen.blogspot.com/?m=1.

Do you want a blog or a makeup artist website?
two different things and I have both
my blog I use to help aspiring artists, and review products
theskylinebeauty.com
my website I use just as a portfolio and a contact platform
chermakeup.com
my blog is on wordpress. my mua site is through godaddy which I recommend for a portfolio type site :)

@ Emily & Tanya thanks for the tips(: @Carolyn I want it for a portfolio, how do I make a website? and why is it better to make a website rather than a blog?

You could always try linkedin and link your blog to it.

I just find the layout of an official site better then a blogging site when it's for professional use
my blog is more casual, and I think that's the mindset when people here the word blog.
when you introduce yourself as a makeup artist and say here's my website it just gives you an air of professionalism, in my opinion.
plus most blogging sites don't give you the options website builders usually do like adding office hours, directly linking your social media without added plugins or even a portfolio builder directly on page.
