Hair style HELP!

Ok, I am in desperate need of a hairstyle and or color change. I've been trying to grow my hair out for YEARS but it grows so slow. I think I had some bad hair cuts so it's all thin and weird in places. I'm open to suggestions/ photos?! What do you think?

You can get some layers and get the bangs in shape. Also a nice brown will be good for you or deep red.
