Does anyone use Pinnacle Studio to edit?

If so does yours freeze or stall? It took me literally 5 hours to edit a five minute video cause the program kept stalling and freezing. I though maybe I had to much crap on my laptop so I went through and deleted A TON of stuff and it still did the same thing. I like the effects and stuff that the software offers but the freezing isn't worth it. What can I do???
