What kind of brush do you recommend for applying a cream shadow?

You can use your finger or for a more precise application, a small concealer (or concealer-like) brush. Anything synthetic an small will work :)

I use my fingers honestly. But I also mostly use it as a base.

Concealer brushes or good but I usually go with a coated eyeshadow brush (I often use loose pigment glitter with it) Like the brush you eat in the naked to pallet. It just cleans a lot easier.
