I'm getting braces soon-I need help!

It hurts for about the first week to eat etc, but it all differs for each person. It will look funny for about again the first week and it will feel like your lips are way out infront of you but I promise your mouth gets uses to it and adjusts to the new feeling etc. it won't look funny to wear anything on your lips. Doesn't really matter what colour you get because eventually you will end up using the majority of the colours each time you go back in they get changed which is about every month. Also eventually you won't even notice they are there. I had them for 2 and a half years and they are well worth it :)

It really won't hurt as bad as you're expecting. The only hurt when getting them on is the pressure. Nothing hurts but there is lots of pressure from them putting the metal bands on your molars, but it only lasts for a few minutes!
After braces my mouth hurt for about two weeks and I could only eat soft food (aka mac n cheese, applesauce, ice cream, and pudding!) After three weeks you won't even remember what it feels like without them! Your teeth feel a bit sore because they are starting to shift, which is a really good thing.
I did think braces looked a bid odd with lipsticks. Lipglosses look fine because they are quite sheer, but bold lipsticks just attracted awkward attention to your mouth. I stayed away from reds, purples, plums, basically any bold or remotely dark color. Stick with silver sparkled pink lipglosses, it will make your teeth look whiter!
Lastly I would choose a darker color when you get them on. Certain lighter colors will make your teeth look yellow like white, or baby blue. Navy blue would probably be best.

I've had braces for 3 years now so I'm an expert lol!
It hurts bad! I had to take pain killer but it wear off after a week but it will hurt for about another week when you chew our food or any form if putting pressure on your teeth and then every 6 weeks when you have them tightened (or at least I do) it hurts again but it wears off the more ones you go
It might seem funny as first with lipstick on cause our braces will push your lips out more but you will get use to it
What ever colour you get it will be a bit lighter than when you choose it in the box cause they have to stretch it to get it onto the bracket ( square things on your teeth lol) but bright blue is nice tho

I got my braces like on December or maybe the first couple days of January and I have to admit, it kinda hurt like a teeny-tiny bit when they the braces on…but then after that, they can hurt for like a couple days, then you barely feel a thing! 😉

For colors don't get green cuz it might look like spinach in your teeth and don't get white either cuz that might make your teeth look yellowed.

I have braces right now. They don't hurt to get them put on, but after they will hurt pretty bad especially since you just got them on and your teeth are moving. Also as other girls said, They will feel weird and everything in your mouth will feel bigger than it actually is.I don't think they look weird with anything on your lips. Its just like if you wear lipstick or lipgloss without braces. For the color, Get navy blue! I actually have navy blue right now and it looks really good and makes your teeth look whiter.

I get my braces off soon- they hurt for a few days, Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are good to eat, but I got hot pink and for power chains a light blue color - great colors to work with

Usually it will hurt the first week or so and then for a couple days after you get them tightened each month. They're not all that bad though, but everyone is different. Your lips shouldn't look weird either with lipstick or any lip product. And I think navy blur would be pretty(: or even purple or a teal blue.

It doesn't hurt to get them on. Your teeth start to ache once they've been on for a while. I love light blue! It's really bright and pretty.

I think the pain level is different for everyone: I was in bad pain for a week and loved off jello and Advil, but my friend had no pain at all.

It doesn't look funny to wear lipgloss or lipstick, at least in my opinion. :)

As for color... Get a darker one, like navy, or my personal favorite, burgundy!

Above all, remember that you're beautiful with our without braces and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
