I think it'd be fine but bags instead of a bookbag can actually hurt your back and shoulder if you have text books and what not.

Well I had one binder and never carried more than 3 notebooks a day.
Mondays I didn't take any notebooks, Tuesday and Thursday I only carried 3 notebooks history math and Spanish.
Wednesday and Friday I carried my math and chemistry.
my schedule made things easier. I only had math and English every day and the rest of the classes switched every other day.

Everyone at my school uses backpacks, but I have a purse. I think it's just a lot easier, because you don't have to take it off your back to get something out of it. Also I don't care if anyone dislikes my choice to have a purse. I do what I want for me, not for other people.

I just knew one thing for sure... it made my shoulders hurt because the books made my bag heavy and not all of them fit too. I had to also keep switching from left to right arm. A backpack keeps it balanced and improved your poster because it makes you stand straight.
