Hey guys, I'm sorry but I have to say this... Last night we went shopping and I was walking around with my friends and we saw a 6- year old wearing A LOT of make up. Like I mean I've never worn that much makeup my whole life... and it doesn't stop there she had her OWN iPhone... Like what is it with the little kids nowadays I mean they will give you such an attitude and cuss at you like I remember if I ever talked like that my momma would whoop my butt... Does this bother anyone else how much different the kids are now??

Yes things have changed and maybe not for the better in everyone's opinion but I think we should focus more on being positive and helping each other with beauty. :)

Honestly, yes. But it's not our place, nor the place of anyone save their parents, to handle children like that. It's annoying, and makes everything that we over the age of 18 grew up with look like junk, but it's not our job to police the younger generations. If they want to look like teeny tiny hookers, or gorgeous miniature ladies, or life sized dolls like the girls on Toddlers and Tiaras, let them. It's not our problem, even though it's creepy and kind of sucks.

I personally think it's because of this "politically correct" society we live in where the message is pretty much "spanking/disciplining your kids is child abuse (no joke it really is), you have to be their best friend, you have to give them whatever they want and let them do whatever they want or you're a bad parent" they are making the kids of tomorrow and at this rate, The western countries are doomed. It makes me so angry to talk about how idiotic people are becoming and this stupid PC, nanny-state society we live in. 😡😡😡😡😡

I think its sad to say, but its the parents fault. The way you raise your children are the way they'll end up being. So if you let them get away with attitude, get them things that are inaproppiate for their age, etc. it will end up bitting you in the ass later on. I'm very careful with the way I'm raising my daughter simply bc I care for her and want her to grow up to be a responsible, respectful woman someday. (:

It does bother me when I see kids like that but not most kids are that spoiled so really it's just like back in the day. Except fancy bikes are now iPhones.

It bothers me a lot but not about the electronics thing my bros 4 and he has a kindle soo yea but a kid shouldnt be wearing makeup that young. Even today at my age I can't talk to my parents rudely or be bossy becoz they will fry me, cook me, I will die and plus I feel really guilty lol. But yea I'm African so African parents are very strict. But also fun to joke with.

I agree that kids now are much more entitled. It could be a parenting issue, things kids learn from friends, or because kids have much more avaliable to them then in the past.
I also don't think it is your place to be commenting on this. How do you know she was 6? Did you ask her? Makeup and iPhones aren't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things. Cussing and having an attitude is wrong for younger kids isn't good because it will show what kind of adult they will become, but what they have is not important. Some kids are very blessed so who are you to say they are spoiled and shouldn't have one?
Just some food for thought. No offense is meant, but you shouldn't be making a post like this when there are young kids on here and hou are basically calling them out.

I know what you mean because I was just walking to the car after school and I heard all this cussing behind me and I turned around and it was these sixth grade girls and I was like in my head wow I mean I don't even cuss at all it's not even cool I can't imagine cussing so much in sixth grade. They were all wearing sunglasses too and looked like they were trying to be too old.

I don't think it's really appropriate for someone under 6 to wear makeup I can understand that play stuff and just try it and take it off but not wear it out and look like your 10 when your 6 and It's kinda weird when they have phones and are like frying there brain at that age I mean I don't even have a phone yet.

Couldn't agree more with Karen. I mean, I have no idea where she got the impression as a 6-year old that she could wear makeup?! Honestly, maybe this girl reads these stupid "gossip" magazines these days and maybe got it from that.
Otherwise this could be a complete different story! Maybe she was in the mall and she happened to stop by those makeup places with perfumes and blushes and lipsticks and etc, but probably just was trying to be sneaky and put on makeup without anyone noticing her…maybe…and the iPhone thing, maybe she's lost and cannot find her parents, but she had their phones as she was going to play some kind of video game on the phone and she I guess was still holding onto it while finding her parents in the mall.
Anyway, I cannot judge this girl and her parents and what their rules are, but I still find it unacceptable for a 6-year old (probably a first grader!) to be wearing makeup at all!

Yeah, I know. I am 14 and I have never wore makeup, only like for some special occassions and it is like 15 times. So yea I agree. I watch TLC sometimes( I don't know if you have that programe). And once I saw 'Diadems and todlers'. I stared and it for 1 hour and I couldn't believe my own eyes. There are like 3 years old girls who arewearing so much makeup. They look like a dolls. And to be worse they own mothers are so proud on them, and they say to that children to wear makeup. It couldn't be describe with a words. Try on youtube and you will se. I think you will stay without words just like me.

Yes definitely it bothers me! whatever the generation is or the new era parents should not let their childs show off at this age...atleast upto 12 years...I mean 6-10 year is too young and about makeup and iphone its a total bluff..if the parents are not controlling them or unable to control at this age what will they do when they grow up...
