Style #1. For thick hair-

1. cut the toe tip of of a sock, (not a fuzzy one!) and roll it into a donut shape.
2. Brush hair into a secure pony.
3. Place hair donut around the ponytail.
4. Put your head down at the angle that the bun sits so that the hair spreads evenly.
5. Smooth the hair over the sock with a part in the middle so that no sock is showing, then secure your hair around the sock with another hair-tie.
6. Wrap the remaining hair around the bun, covering the hair-tie, using bobby pins to secure it.
7. Use a hair net or hairspray to get rid of any frizz, for a neat look.

Style #2: For thin/medium length hair-

1. Brush hair into a tight, neat ponytail and secure with a hairtie.
2. Using a whirl-a-bun, (dance stores carry these,) start where your layers end, if you don't have layers, start at the ends.
3. Twist the whirl-a-bun up to the base of the ponytail, then snap it closed.
4. Use your fingers to push the hair around the bun maker, filling any gaps.
5. Secure any flyaway pieces of hair with bobby pins or hairspray.
6. Use a hairnet to fasten the bun, and finish by hiding the end of the net with a bobby pin.

Style #3: for layered long hair-

1. Brush hair into a neat ponytail in the center of the head.
2. Spray down any frizzies with water or hairspray to give a flat, clean looking surface for the bun.
3. Split the hair into 2 pieces.
4. Taking the piece on the right, twist it clockwise.
5. The hair will naturally twist itself under the ponytail, along the way, use bobby pins to hold the shape of the twist.
6. Place 2 bobby pins at the end of the twist to make sure it doesn't come undone!
7. Now take the left piece of hair, twisting it clockwise.
8. Repeat step 5, pinning the twist outside of the first twist, not layering the right and left pieces.
9. Add any additional bobby pins to the whole twist on any loose spots.
10. Secure the twist with a hair net, only wrapping it once to keep each twist separate.
