What is the trick to getting your eyeliner cat eye like? I have been practicing but I know there is a twist to it that I am not getting.

I line my top lid until I get to the outer edge. Then I use my lower line to draw a line outward. Then I bring that line back to the top line. Hope that helps. You can always YouTube it

I do winged eyeliner 90% of the time and I do mine how Dita describes.
1. Line your upper lashline first, however you normally would
2. Follow the natural line of your lower lashline to bring the wing out-- you can put a little dot where you want the flick to end so that you don't go out too far and you can get your eyes even
3. Bring the end of the wing back to your top lash line; you're basically creating a little triangle
4. Fill the triangle in and make sure both sides are even
There are tons of tutorials on YT that can show you how to do that much better than I can explain, but those steps might help you. While you're still practicing, try holding a credit card or something small that has a straight edge up to your face to keep your edge nice and clean. When I was first learning how to do winged liner, I'd actually use a piece of scotch tape so that I could have both hands free. Just keep practicing and you'll get it, and if it makes you feel any better, I still make mistakes after years of doing my eyeliner like this almost every day :) just keep trying!

Also when doing each eye start with the eye of your weaker hand. For example, I'm right handed so I always start my eyeliner with my left eye first so my strong hand and easily match my left eye's eyeliner!

A great way ti get perfect eyeliner that also looks pretty natural is to line you eyes but stop at the outer corner, then curl your lashes put a thin coat of mascara and follow your last " group" of lashes, just create the line following your lashes and then connect the line with the liner and fill it in. I do it every day to school and you can make it thin or thick, and i'v been getting a lot of compliments every single day from my friend!! You can make it dramatic or settle and i feel it's the easiest way to do the eyeliner because you just following you'r lashes and after a week or two you get used to it and eventually every day your liner will be the same
