I haven't got proper brushes and I would like to buy a few but I'm not on a very high budget. thanks for the advice.

Real Techniques! They're modestly priced and are very durable and versatile. They never shed and are very soft. You can find them at Ulta (although their website seems to be the best bet, I never find too many in the store I go to. They are always sold out it seems), in select Walmarts and Amazon. I've brought them from both Amazon and Ulta's website and never had any problems ordering from either place. They are my absolute favorite. I have both face and eye brushes and I love them all.

I've had really good luck with the BH Cosmetics brushes. They're synthetic, very dense and easy to work with, they pick up pigment like a dream. You can get them online at bhcosmetics.com, and the website is very reliable, I've had no problems with it. I got a 24 piece set on sale for $25, and I love it. They also have sales all the time, but I think the full price is somewhere around $35 which is still pretty cheap for good brushes.

Bh cosmetics
The sets are good but I also like the stippling brush and crease blending brush.
Real techniques had great face brushes
The expert face brush is great and so is the blush brush.
Sigma
The sigma blending set and other blending brushes are great. The kabuki face brushes line is awesome.
Elf bushes are good. The studio line (black handled ones) are nice. The stippling ones, powder ones and flat top one. The eye brushes too.
These are just the ones I use most often but really you can find great brushes all over the place. Walmart had some generic ones that are great! It's an angled and powder brush. They have yet to shed on me and they are so so soft. Eco tools is good too.

I have like two mac brushes and don't find it necessary to get more because they're super expensive and I can find great dupes for half the price. Sometimes 1/4 of the price.

Sephora brushes are nice in sets. I started out with the antibacterial deluxe set and I still use it. They're soft, don't shed, and they do a great job. They also come in a brush holder :)

No offense to anyone but I did not like real techniques eye makeup brushes at all!! Just ask the all knowing Jacqueline H. She's the one to go to!

I got a kabuki brush set EXACTLY like the Sigma set for $13 on Amazon & I LOVE THEM!! They're very very soft, I've had no fall out whatsoever & the Sigma brush set runs around $85!! Here are pics of the two for comparison. The first pic is a screen shot taken just now of the Sigma brush set & they were market for $85.

I like the real techniques face brushes but not too pleased with the eye brushes. Maybe you try elf of sonya Kushak for eye brushes.
