Well my first experience with cream shadow returned a not so great result. I watched tons of tutorials, read articles..I purchased Covergirl Shine Shadow in Copper Fling and Ice Queen for the days when I wake up with limited time. I myst have applied them 5 times, with a horrible result. I know this is my first time using them so I didn't expect magic. I applied with eye primer, without primer, with flat brush, with fingers. Will you ladies give me some direction on this?

I'm experiencing the same thing with maybeline colour tattoo. I've got the gold, pink, blue and brown one and yet they don't go on my lid smoothly or even look pretty when I apply it on. I just wanna smash it with a bat Lool.
Sorry I couldn't be helpful

I have the color tattoo. I only have one color. I tried it on my hand and found the color in the pot looked nothing like what it came out as... I haven't bothered putting it on my eyes yet as I found the color looked muddy... Disappointed at this point :(.

With cream shadows using a synthetic brush if you don't have success applying with fingers. I build mine color up by using my fingers and applying over bare lids. Using a pat,pat motion I build up color in layers...waiting a few moments between each layer so it doesn't turn a nasty mess. Also would could help is making sure your lids are moisturized with a non-oily eye cream.

I love cream shadow. I've Been using them since hs when a girl a yr ahead of me was using the ones from the body shop.. I don't have the covergirl ones you're using Annemarie so I can't say for that particular one. I have some color tatoos and I've used the loreal ones (when they had them) and vs had some as well. I just always used my fingers. I think more than anything you have to play with the amounts. I'm not oily. the only time color tattoos creased for me was when I wore gold and ended up taking the kids to the beach on a whim n by end of the day at a restaurant having pizza, yeah, gold rush was a bit creased.. but other than that I love liquid shadow. and also great as a primer.

I was really disappointed when I got my first color tattoo. It applied patchy and uneven, sparse in some areas and almost chunky in others. I've played with application a lot and think I've finally got it down.
First I run my finger over the product a few times which helps warm it up, therefore go on smoother. I then apply it in a patting motion with my finger, then use a clean finger to spread/smooth/blend it out. If I want more color I apply a second layer using the same process to build it up. Taking my time with the product has seemed to help a lot.
I usually use a cream eyeshadow as a base and it really does make the color I put over it pop a lot more so I'm glad I gave it a second (third, fourth) chance to perfect the application process.
