On their skin when they have a pimple or something? It annoys me when girls suggest toothpaste for getting rid of a pimple on here
1.They don't make toothpaste like they used to,I know teenagers used it when my mum was a teenager and it has changed since then
2.gel and whitening toothpaste are even worse as they dried and blister skin (trust me I had to find out the hard way)
3.It is for your teeth! it can surely not be any good!
4.It stings like a B**** and makes my eyes water
I know some girl on here before 'studying skincare' told me I'm wrong and it does not damage the skin, but I don't know. I know its a stupid rant but 99% when someone asks how to get rid of a pimple/acne people say toothpaste it does not seem right, what do you think?

It contains a lot of weird chemicals so I don't. It just wouldn't make sense to put it on your face if you have no idea what each chemical does.

I read somewhere it is not truth that toothpaste works. And yes I agree it really annoys me too.

I mean it isn't particularly good for your skin, especially if you have severely dry skin, but it isn't going to kill you. If I ever have an abnormaly large zit, I put a tiny, tiny dab and the size and redness reduces tremendously by the morning. Doesn't always work for you, but it does work for some. I also use a whitening toothpaste and it didn't burn me. It is different for everyone and their skin type.

I do, it helps a few people. It really just depends on your skin type

The reason they say that is because toothpaste sometimes has baking soda which drys out pimples. Therefore instead people should just make a little paste out of baking soda and water and put that on their pimples. I read that somewhere.

It works sometimes. Like one night I tried it when I ran out of options and then I used it the next night becuase I saw a decrease in swelling and it made it worse the second time I used it!

It stings if they are open spots, Sudo crem is such a better alternative!
