Okay ladies I'm trying to get my skin on track. Right now I use cetaphil as a wash and I have a moisturizer for redness that I use at night and in the morning. My skin still seems to look terrible to me and I want some suggestions of what you all do! I also have been hearing about a toner...what is it and what does it do?

What's your skin type? What are your concerns? Toners are designed to balance the ph of your skin, but they can also help pick up any dirt or makeup that you may have missed washing your face.

Hmmm. I'd check out the Simple skincare range, it's good for sensitive skin. Also, a DIY oatmeal mask (you can check Pinterest) should help a ton with the redness :)

I use aveeno pads and then use the simple brand toner and then aveeno moisturizer. and then a charcoal mask once a week. It has really helped. I love the simple brand products. My skin used to be blotchy and I had huge pores and it has gotten so much better! hope that helps :)

Just a warning, the simple skincare line seems to be hit and miss. I like the toner, but the makeup wipes&facewash broke me out like crazy. For you, I'd recommend incorporating a toner into your routine and possibly a scrub/exfoliant once or twice a week to brighten up and smooth your skin. Make sure it's not too rough though, you need something semi-gentle but cleansing if you're exfoliating sensitive skin. (:

Doing facial masks improve my redness & evens out my skin tone leaving me with a glowing face in the morning. I also have been to my doctor whose prescribed me erythromycin 2% for topical use that I use as a toner everyday. The facial masks I use are the ones from the Freeman brand you can get those at any store like target cvs walmart.
