What's the correct way to do Smokey eye? pictures would be awesome too.

Unfortunately neither of those are smokey eyes. Jacqueline could answer this much better than I can, but I'll attempt. What you need to remember is that smokey eyes are gradient; you want to start with the darkest all over your lid, a midtone in your crease and the lightest below your brow bone. That said, start with black liner, and smudge it all over your lid. Then apply your lightest color from lashline to brow bone. Apply the midtone in your crease, and then black over your eyeliner, all over your lid. Blend everything extremely well. You shouldn't be able to see where one color stops and the next ends.
