Ok so I'm taking a huge step and I'm going to try Urban Decay. I've always had this weird thing where I have to have all of my makeup the same brand (extreme OCD?) but I'm going to take a leap and try another brand (currently using all MAC) I've been doing a lot of research on UD and I'm really liking what I'm seeing! What I need to know is which of the two Naked palettes should I get being a first time UD buyer, Naked or Naked 2? I really like the double ended brush and the packaging of the 2! Sorry this was so long!

Oh and I forgot to mention, I do like shimmer! I do like matt shades for the crease though.

It depends on your coloring. Naked is more goldy and warm while naked2 has a lot of silvers, taupes and cooler colors.

I'm in love with my naked palette and I've had it for like a week! I love that there's shimmer with some matte colors for the crease. It's my favorite eyeshadow and you can deff go from day to night!

I am literally in love with the naked palette. I love shimmers but it has all the matte I need. And it comes with a travel size eye primer potion.(another good thing to try out)

Both are great but I would research the palettes and go to a sephora and look at each palette and see which has the better variety of shadows for your style and taste. As many say, the 1st is warmer whereas the 2nd is cooler in tones but I don't care and use both as I please and love them both!!

You're definitely making the right choice by trying out Urban Decay! It's my all time favourite brand for eyeshadows! When it comes to the naked palettes, I couldn't choose one, so I would say get both :p but I guess as you are only trying UD for the first time, you should probably do what some of the others have said and go take a look at them both in person and think about which palette would suit you better and which you prefer in terms of tones, shimmers/mattes etc. What I can say is that the naked 2 has better packaging and of course the double ended brush and super cute lipgloss! They are both beautiful palettes, it's a very hard decision! :)
