I currently have my hair black, hasn't been died black for at least four month, and just been left to fade till now, i want to get my hair to quite a bright red. Im wondering if any one can give me any sort of advice on what products to use and how to achieve this colour with out damaging my hair too much or making a mess of it

Bright red? i wouldn't. But its your hair and you can do what you wish. I'm just not into dying my hair to any bright colors, but i would definitely do a dark red, such as burgundy red.
