So I'm getting my hair cut and done for my birthday and I know I how I want it cut and styled BUT I don't know if I should go blonde or go a darker brown

Yes a dark brown would look great but as for the haircut it will be a pain in the ass with layers that short, and you will have tiny pieces sticking straight up. I have a similar haircut because I love that look but I would tone it down a bit and do something like this picture. You could even have the layers shorter (thats how mine is) and when you tease it you will get that look, but it will be more flattering instead o so harsh and difficult to style. If you go darker which I think would really bring out your eyes even more, then make sure to darken your brow a little bit more to compliment the color better.

And I think this kind of reddish brown mix would look great on you. And in the picture I posted, just have them make the layers a lot shorted to give you that emo/scene volume

Sorry reread and it was kind of confusing on the last post. Lol in case you didn't understand I meant the blonde pic I posted for the cut w/ shorter layers. And for the color, the kim k picture
