Hi ana. I have dark hair and tried the loreal one but it didnt change my hair atall. so I bleached mine. I've got split ends now coz any kind of bleaxhing causes damage but I'm very please with it. I used the krazy colour bleachig kit.

Manic panic is actually horrible. If you want an ombré but don't want to bleach your hair, use the lightest brown from HI COLOR LOREAL. It's dye for DARK HAIR ONLY. And if you want to go a bit lighter, just buy a box of the lightest blonde from the loreal brand and touch it up. I've done plenty of ombrés for girls who don't want to bleach they're hair and it came out great! Manic panic fades quickly as well as hot topic.

Okay, I just have to say Manic panic is dependent on each persons hair. I have turquoise hair that I dyed in August and although it's faded a bit, it was the same color till November with only one dye job. It depends on the persons hair. I see all the time people on here bashing it, but for some people it lasts the longest and no one wants to try it because everyone on here says it sucks.
And shannie, the loreal hi color for dark hair does work on black hair, I went from black to bright red with it and see people go from black to light brown with it all the time.

From dark to light, bleach is necessary to create the ombré effect. However, that causes damage. So try ombré hair extensions, that will work and you can go back immediately to your natural hair as you want.
