I used a black box dye about 2 -3 months ago. And I was wondering if I should remove the color before dying my hair? Like, would it have any affect on it if I DO not remove the color?
I'm dying my hair burgandy BTW.
Thanks!😁

Are you going to bleach it?

No I'm not going to bleach it. I'm using loreal highlights color magenta. It says it's meant for dark hair at Sally's beauty supply.

Is the black faded?

Loreal hi lights in magenta will get through the black. I dyed the underneath of my hair black and that's how I got rid of it was using hi lights in red.

So I'm guessing your roots were lighter? You can use black box dye to cover it up. I'd suggest semipermanent because it's easier to take out if you want to try again.

Thanks so much! I'm using a box dye on my hair right now. I hope it works
