I'm eighteen years old, I know people think I'm younger, their actions usually show it.
I know it's because of the way I dress, I'm a little ocd and picky (I'm open to new things if it would help though) so I dress simple. I wear skinny jeans a lot (because my legs are long and they are the only kind of pants that fit me good), I wear plain tee-shirts, button-up sweaters with lace tanks tops underneath, I sometimes wear dresses but they are usually too short on me because of my legs! And I wear hoodies, I wear casual flats and vans shoes.

My clothes are sometimes baggy or hand off my body because I'm so thin, I'm 5`8 and weight about 135-138. And since my arms and legs are long I'm almost forced to by bigger clothes. I hate it it's driving me nuts really, I've been asking my grandmother for tips on how to look, dress, and act older. (I didn't know if I was being immature or something so I had to be sure).

I wear make-up but I like the naked look because if I put on too much my eyes start to look like they're sinking into my skull. I'm open to wear more make-up though, if it would help. Or cutting and dying my hair it's long and just a normal brown but people always tell me they love my hair and how stuff it is. It's always down a straight I do put it up or try curling my hair but it's so straight that the curls just lose their shape no matter how much hair spray I use.

So if you could tell me of good places to shop, for a more feminine look. Or what I could do. Even if it's about being more mature and things like that it would be great to hear what I could do. I'm mainly on the style, like clothes and shoes. I need summer ideas also if you guys could I live in texas so we have an early summer. Everyone wears cowboy boots also and I think it's cute I just don't have any ideas for an outfit with them.

Thanks for reading and I'd be really grateful to hear your guys tips and adivce!

Hey! I'm and 18 year old mother and I definitely look younger than my age. The last thing I want is to look 16 with a baby! lol I dress more appropiate for my age and for a mom and that helps. I also wear a lot of high heeled shoes and boots since I'm pretty short. In your case I suggest buying more blazers, that you can pair with skinny jeans. Try falsies and add a thin line of liner on your top lid if you don't want too much makeup. Also, maybe add more volume to your hair. Maybe loose curls. Trade your vans for flats or boots. Leather boots up to your knees could help with your long legs. Embrace your legs. Long legs are gorgeous. Hope I helped! (:

I'm a 22 year old mom who always gets mistaken for a teenager. something that's helped is avoiding junior clothing stores. those places in general carry very trendy young looking clothes. try more sophisticated department stores and brands. also something I've recently been doing that has helped is learning to contour. giving myself a more chiseled face makes people think I'm older rather than more rounded features.

Don't be afraid too step outside of your comfort zone you might just find a whole new style that fits you, try a more mature look like blazers, button downs, boots, flats, sandals, sundresses, purses etc.. Try a little more makeup go buy a new blush or a new lipstick :) You can start adjusting little by little so you won't feel so different! And as for jeans I find Hollister jeans are great for me because their jeans go by waist size and length (I'm 5'7) Places too shop? I love Forever 21, Shasa, Agaci all these places have super cute clothing and is still very affordable! And yes this Texas weather is HOT! So I'd say try too start buying some cute shorts! Different colors, textures, high waist, there's just so much you can do with fashion girl & I think cowgirl boots look great with some shorts, nice girly lacey tops and a good tan! And as for your hair try a different haircut like some bangs or some dramatic layers, hair grows back so don't worry :) Try new things you never know what you might end up liking, I hope you find a new style you love! GoodLuck:)

I'm 21 (almost 22) and everyoneee thinks I look like I'm about 16. It sucks because my boyfriend is almost 25 and everyone seems to judge us because they think I'm so young. I also never get treated like an adult at work. Clients always make comments about how young I look.

First of all try to embrace it, you're lucky to look young instead of looking way older than you are. Just think when you're 40 you will still look young and all your friends will look like they're 60 :p You can get a new hairstyle of dye your hair, that usually can make you look a bit older. For clothes, try wearing skinny jeans or dark wash jeans, knit sweaters, peplum tops, leather jacket. Invest in some heels, or boots with a small heel. I also love the look of tall leather boots. Blazers also make a nice grown up statement. Also if you could post a full body picture of yourself we might be able to help you better if we can see what you look like (:
