I have been to several different hair salons and whenever I get my hair done, at the end when their styling the hairdresser always styles my hair curled in towards my face. I was wondering if they do this style to everyone and why?

I'm a stylist I generally ask which way do you prefer

I have never had them ask where I live but thank you.

I'm a stylist and I always curl away because I think it looks nicer, but its just personal preference!

I usually like to blow out straight to go back and detail the haircut.

I agree with Ashley, I like to blow out straight, probably add some volume, but then do detail work. Then I normally ask them if they want a certain style. Personally, if they say do whatever, I wind up doing some kind of little updo or something they don't get done often. You could always try telling them before the cut even begins how you'd like it styled at the end?
