Hey everybody. I was just wondering if any of you are a part of or participate in the YouTube beauty community in any way. I have just been getting kind of discouraged because I try so hard to get my videos out there and work so hard on them, but people don't want to watch them for some reason. I even spent 500 dollars of my own money to buy a nice camera. Does anybody have any tips? I've watched so many vids about how to be a successful beauty guru but I just feel really disappointed. Thanks, I appreciate your responses. :)

I am not part of the YouTube community but I always like to watch Beauty videos that have a little bit of humor in them- bloopers, etc. Macbarbie07 is one of my favorite beauty channels. if you are on any social media, you can put your channel in your bio so people can see it and check it out. Other than that, keep trying :)

I watched a couple of your videos and honestly I think you're doing a very good job. How long have you been making videos? Maybe you just need to give it some more time. Also tell everyone on all of your social media accounts about your YouTube videos so they can watch them.

Some girls take years and years to get to a level of fame, so really it just takes time and dedication.
And to be bluntly honest, buying a $500 camera right off the bat for the sake of recording may have not been the best idea UNLESS you have an alternate use for it. Quality is good yes, but there are cheaper options out there for those who are just filming videos or snapping makeup pictures. I'm about to drop $400+ on a new camera, but I'm also a photographer so it makes sense for me to spend that much money because I'll actually be making money sooner then I would be just making videos.

But really, just keep going and get yourself out there. If you see a topic up here that relates to a video that you've done, or your video answers a question, post it. Branch out to other beauty forms and do the same thing. Post on Instagram, tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, where ever you think your followers are.
Just believe in yourself and don't give up! Your hard work will pay off.
