I just had the shock of my life reading another post. Someone suggested using bleaching cream on the lips. The post has been up for awhile so I pray that the beauty seeking advice did not purchase this in hopes of lighting up pigmented lips. Bleaching cream is designed to be used on the face and body...not on your lips or eyelids. The results of using it improperly is downright dangerous.

Hai Shelley I think you read a post of us. We have bleaching creme here in Holland which you can use for eyes, face and lips. This is gentle one. Don't you have it up there Shelley?

Yes I agree that's really shocking...yikes! And a small percentage of whatever goes on your lips always end up in your mouth...scary.

Bleaching creams are usually made with Hydroquinone (not sure of spelling)..unless there's a "safe" bleaching ingredient? I would like to know.

@Mistreece maybe bleaching is a different kind of product over there. We have Filorga over here, do you know this brand? This you can use on your whole face and is gentle enough to been used untill the tube is empty.

Ooooh ok I see Maaike. I've never heard of that product. Is it made with natural ingredients?? I'm so curious.

Almost pure natural. 69% working ingredients. I love this brand it does what it says! Most brands you can keep for 12/24 months, this one only 6. Next time I will tell the product with the advice. I see that you have very different stuff up there :S

Ok, I feel much better Maaike. Scared the mess outta me.lol. The only bleaching creams we have here is the horrible stuff containing hydroquinone. When my husband was doing his medical residency he told me about a young woman so possessed with bleaching her skin because in her family to be of a darker complexion she was considered not favored she was applying this bleaching cream all over (her genitalia, breasts and even her lips). Her skin in those sensitive areas was a mess. He's shared some horror stories to me about the things he's saw during that time but that patient just stayed with me. So when I saw that post I of course freaked out. Please forgive me. :(

@Shelley, I understand, think this is a difficult thing of having so many girls aroud the world on one app. You guys talk about brands I never heared from, even though I'm in the business for more dan 16 years and trained for so many brands, and apperantly the same way arround. Maybe next time you can ask a person first in staid of making a post/shocking everybody thing of it. That was not nice for me. I have worked for Filorga and it's one of the most wonderfull brands we have over here. We are not common with your agressive bleaching creme, maybe for cleaning the house but that's a whole other thing :S.

Maaike...I'm sorry but I don't think my post of concern was not insulting at all and I'm sorry you took it as such but here in the United States and even abroad we are having young girls turn to dangerous bleaching creams to lighten their skin. In parts of Jamaica for example there are young women using bleaching creams that are made with some of the most unstable chemicals to experience accelerated bleaching. Along with young women in India doing the same because of the whole caste system. And in some of those countries those women may not have access or afford the safer alternatives. So when I read your post suggesting bleaching the lips using a cream alarm bells went off in my head. On your end you should have definitely posted right then and there the brand and that its natural. It took for me to say something for you to then mention this other product. Bleaching may not be a danger in your country but elsewhere girls/women are going to extreme lengths all in the name of lighter skin.
