Hi ladies might sound silly but after getting to grips with contouring and the way to apply etc.I was wondering how you get your finished look I can't seem to blend correctly and look worse than I started!

I tend to apply my contouring under my foundation it seems to give me a more natural looking finish. Wayne Goss has some great videos on how to do this on his YouTube channel.

You need a good fluffy brush like a kabuki brush and you buff a non-translucent finishing powder onto your face in circular motions. I'm guessing you are using powders? If so make sure to use the correct size brush when contouring. if its that hard to finish the look, you might need to start using less and just go for a subtle look until you get more experienced with it.

I also recommend that whenever you get yourself a foundation, you should get one shade that matches exactly to your skin, one thats a shade lighter and one thats a shade darker then your skintone.if you use this when contouring instead of powders you can avoid looking like you have too much makeup on. after you take a damp beauty sponge and blend any harsh lines then set with your powder and buff it out. here is a good video that will show you what im talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTb5vOIuzBE

Thanks ladies that's brill will give it a try or have a play and see what I find best I guess it's about finding the right way for yourself.

I contour with a cream bronzer first, and then use powder to sculpt out the cheekbone further. it always comes out very nice! Sometimes I take a clean flat top kabuki and blend out any harsher lines towards the top.
