If I want to paint my nails, does the colour have to agree with my skin tone? For example, I want to paint my nails shimmery evergreen with a red+gold accent nail for a sports event, but I have tan skin with yellow undertones. Does anyone have advice?

I personally usually don't make my nails agree to my skin tone. I kinda just go for whatever color looks nice. If it looks bad you can always just take it off.

I don't personally have that problem, only because the colors that look unflattering on a lot of people (neons, yellow, orange, brown...) I don't find appealing. Most nail polishes don't depend on your skin tone though :)
