I would highly recommend a nume curling wand! You can get ones with varying thicknesses and switch them up for different styles of curls, and they're really good quality. A lot of beauty gurus on YouTube have discount codes for them too so you can get like 100 dollars off

Use a hair protectant. Spray before and after you curl.

Do your hair in sections wrap stands and hold for about 10-15 seconds and then spray with hairspray

Just make sure you let your hair completely cool befor you touch it after you cul each strand. if you kind of cup the curl in your hand for a few seconds right after each section the curl will stay longer and maybe using a larger wand might help you avoid having your hair look short. Have you ever tried curling your hair with a straightening iron before? Those turn out really pretty.

I don't have a straightening iron anymore. I usually just have natural hair. I'm sure I'll get better with it, but I'm such a perfectionist it bothers me to no end if one piece isn't right
